Day 1
We decided to take a short trip to Sequoia National Park to check out the Sequoia trees and do a couple hikes. When we got there, we stopped at hospital rock.
Short stop…
We headed to Moro Rock and climbed a lot of stairs (about a mile) to see the beautiful view I heard so much about.
We kept climbing and there were beautiful views from each side of the stairs but the clouds came rolling in.
And by the time we got to the top…
All we saw were clouds.
We waited for a few minutes but still no view. Oh well, so we headed down and drove to the General Sherman tree. The tree was massive. It reminded me of the Grizzly Giant in Mariposa but of course General Sherman is the biggest tree.
We saw a deer as soon as we entered the parking lot.
Patch of snow.
We headed to our hotel. We stayed at the Wuksachi Lodge. I liked it.
Our view out the window. It was very foggy.
We went for a walk at night. It was nice and quit. No bear siting.
